Duskbloom
Duskbloom is an atmospheric 2D puzzle platformer set inside an ancient, shifting forest. Two states govern the woods, and progression demands knowing when to step into the light and when to retreat into the shadows.
The Two Moods
- Dusk: Cool, dark, and safe. Glowcaps bounce you high, luminous moss holds your weight, briars recede, and thornlings sleep as solid stone.
- Waking: Warm light breathes life into the grove. Dormant flowers bloom into platforms and wild vines weave across chasms into living bridges. Briars grow too, and thornlings wake up hungry.
- The Watcher: Awakening the woods draws attention from above. While the forest is awake, its amber eye opens. Step under thick canopy or return to dusk before it opens fully.
Features
- 15 Levels Across 3 Chapters: Journey through The Sleeping Wood, The Amber Glade, and The Heartwood.
- 45 Embers to Uncover: Three hidden embers per stage reward timing, route planning, and mid-air world shifts.
- Procedural Canvas Art: Painted entirely in code with dynamic light shafts, layered parallax forests, ambient fog, and reactive particles.
- Adaptive Audio: Ambient synth pads, wind, and sound effects react dynamically as the forest shifts between dusk and waking states.
- Universal Controls: Native support for keyboard, gamepad, and on-screen touch controls on mobile browsers.
